After 33 minutes Castanheiro SC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Erramun Cepa who took care of the corner kick. Eustaquio Castorena was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. In the 42ndth minute of the game Umberto Dionísio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Aʀɴᴏʀ Fᴄ's Fernandez Villaelrriego was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Umberto Dionísio was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute Anísio Alagoano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernandez Villaelrriego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fernandez Villaelrriego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauro Sarmento in the 92nd minute of play. Fernandez Villaelrriego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelo Eger, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Pedrinho Guimarães made an important save on a dangerous shot by Otsoko Zarza in the 97th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Castanheiro SC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Aʀɴᴏʀ Fᴄ had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
