Édouard Mendy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 8th minute, Eliseu Alagoano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Marquês de Herval defense, Wilson Matorin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Diguinho Andrade. The Marquês de Herval fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Diguinho Andrade should have stopped the shot. Édouard Mendy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leandro Fonseca in the 14th minute of play. In the 15th minute Leandro Fonseca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Édouard Mendy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 16 played minutes Marquês de Herval got a freekick which was hit by Guga Castro. In the 17th minute of the match Maicon Zanette shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Diguinho Andrade showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Paulo José Aguiar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In a very dangerous position, a player in Al-Fajuth fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 22nd minute. Penalty! Al-Fajuth:s Édouard Mendy showed great skill when he stopped Oséas dos Santos:s penalty. Édouard Mendy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leandro Fonseca in the 26th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Marquês de Herval's zone, Maicon Zanette stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Diguinho Andrade came out of the goal and Maicon Zanette tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 29 minutes, Paulo José Aguiar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Marquês de Herval and the Al-Fajuth players grew even worse after the yellow card. Diguinho Andrade didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 33rd minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. Eliseu Alagoano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 40th minute, Al-Fajuth's Rômulo Soares dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. After a defensive mix-up in Marquês de Herval's zone, Eliseu Alagoano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Diguinho Andrade came out of the goal and Eliseu Alagoano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Diguinho Andrade took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseu Alagoano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Diguinho Andrade showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilson Matorin, who was totally free with the ball in the 49th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eliseu Alagoano made a kick off. Marquês de Herval's Guto Alagoano got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Leandro Fonseca hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Eliseu Alagoano put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Diguinho Andrade. Diguinho Andrade showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliseu Alagoano, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. In the 66th minute, Eliseu Alagoano made a precise shot to the right of Diguinho Andrade. Marquês de Herval's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. After a defensive mix-up in Al-Fajuth's zone, Paulo José Aguiar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leandro Fonseca in the 75th minute of play forced Al-Fajuth's goalkeeper Édouard Mendy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 76th minute, Eliseu Alagoano made a precise shot to the right of Diguinho Andrade. Marquês de Herval's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. 82 minutes into the match, Rômulo Soares had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Diguinho Andrade. Marquês de Herval's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rômulo Soares was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. 88 minutes into the match, Rômulo Soares notched a goal, 8-0, to the right of Marquês de Herval's Diguinho Andrade. Diguinho Andrade was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Diguinho Andrade showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilson Matorin in the 93rd minute of the match. In the 95th minute of the match Jefferson Maia shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Diguinho Andrade showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.
