The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A nice corner shot did that Zézinho Coutinho got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Baltasar Matias quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The supporters of ǺŁвǺтяØƶ - ƒรCмƶ booed when VB-Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hafız Öztekin didn't get a good kick on the ball. VB-Team's Baltasar Matias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marco Ruben in the 19th minute of play. If Gervásio Severiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Álvaro Sergipano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Walmir Catarinense made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Hafız Öztekin sent off a good shot on target. In the 46th minute, Chiquinho Quirino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. ǺŁвǺтяØƶ - ƒรCмƶ's Leonel Romero was substituted for Hudson Abreu. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fabrício Lopes was the one to do the kick off. Walmir Catarinense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gervásio Severiano in the 53rd minute of the match. Walmir Catarinense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabrício Lopes in the 54th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fabrício Lopes in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Walmir Catarinense saved ǺŁвǺтяØƶ - ƒรCмƶ from getting behind. Walmir Catarinense came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by VB-Team's Fabrício Lopes. But to his dismay, Fabrício Lopes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. A collision led to ǺŁвǺтяØƶ - ƒรCмƶ getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Baltazar Weidt hit a great ball. 68 minutes into the match, ǺŁвǺтяØƶ - ƒรCмƶ's goal looked a bit too open when Fabrício Lopes came free, but Walmir Catarinense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. ǺŁвǺтяØƶ - ƒรCмƶ's Álvaro Sergipano got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Walmir Catarinense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gervásio Severiano in the 72nd minute of play. In the 75th minute Fabrício Lopes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Walmir Catarinense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 75 minutes into the match, Fabrício Lopes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Walmir Catarinense. ǺŁвǺтяØƶ - ƒรCмƶ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fabrício Lopes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind VB-Team's goalkeeper Baltasar Matias, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the VB-Team defense, Marco Ruben kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Baltasar Matias. The VB-Team fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Baltasar Matias should have stopped the shot. Walmir Catarinense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabrício Lopes in the 88th minute of play. Marco Ruben struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Baltasar Matias didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ǺŁвǺтяØƶ - ƒรCмƶ. 91 minutes into the game, Shao Kun Yuan threw the ball into play from the sideline. ǺŁвǺтяØƶ - ƒรCмƶ's Chiquinho Quirino quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Baltasar Matias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco Ruben, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Chiquinho Quirino charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Chiquinho Quirino the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 93 played minutes ǺŁвǺтяØƶ - ƒรCмƶ got a freekick which was hit by Chiquinho Quirino. After a rather tough play, ǺŁвǺтяØƶ - ƒรCмƶ's Chiquinho Quirino got a free kick in the 98th minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. VB-Team fully deserved thier win.
