The supporters of Tormenta EC booed when Cambaratiba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastião Neiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. Walmir Vides kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Marquinhos Vargas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Olavo Amorim went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. With an all-out effort, Cambaratiba's Raí Rosa threw himself towards the right post 16 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jeferson Nóbrega, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 19 minutes into the match, Matheus Carvalho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Raí Rosa. Tormenta EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Matheus Carvalho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Matheus Carvalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Yuri Zanette fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cambaratiba's protests and gave Yuri Zanette a yellow card for diving instead. In the 31st minute, Yuri Zanette hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 32nd minute, Walmir Vides got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Matheus Carvalho's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 34thth minute, Raí Rosa skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 36th minute, Jeferson Nóbrega fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Matheus Carvalho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Raí Rosa made a huge save. Raí Rosa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeferson Nóbrega, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Raí Rosa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jeferson Nóbrega in the 42nd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Matheus Carvalho got free with Raí Rosa in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Raí Rosa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeferson Nóbrega, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 48 minutes into the match, Tormenta EC's goalkeeper Raí Rosa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Matheus Carvalho. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Olavo Amorim stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Marquinhos Vargas made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Cássio Soeiro sent off a good shot on target. Raí Rosa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matheus Carvalho, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. In the 63rd minute Wanderson Salgado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marquinhos Vargas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Olavo Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 69 minutes into the match, Tormenta EC's goal looked a bit too open when Matheus Carvalho came free, but Raí Rosa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Tormenta EC defense, Jeferson Nóbrega kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Raí Rosa. The Tormenta EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Raí Rosa should have stopped the shot. Jeferson Nóbrega sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 78th minute, Matheus Carvalho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Raí Rosa was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Josué Fonseca was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 85 minutes into the match. After 85 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Tormenta EC! Cambaratiba walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
