Nasos Pliatsikas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Augusto Penha went, in the 3rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 6 minutes into the match, AVAÍ F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Themis Charos came free, but Marcos Catarinense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alexandros Zachariadis got free with Marcos Catarinense in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match had gone on for 16 minutes, Mateus Alves put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Nasos Pliatsikas. If Mateus Alves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nasos Pliatsikas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mateus Alves's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. Marcos Catarinense came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by ARION F.C. Lesvos's Themis Charos. But to his dismay, Themis Charos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Alkaios Makrodimitris hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in ARION F.C. Lesvos's zone, Mateus Alves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nasos Pliatsikas came out of the goal and Mateus Alves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Themis Charos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcos Catarinense having to interfere. AVAÍ F.C.'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 48th minute, when Themis Charos scored to the left of an out of position Marcos Catarinense, making the score, 2-2. AVAÍ F.C.'s Jorge Pinho was substituted for Augusto Penha.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gabriel Poveda was the one to do the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alexandros Zachariadis during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 57 played minutes ARION F.C. Lesvos got a freekick which was hit by Alexandros Zachariadis. Nasos Pliatsikas was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Fernandão Arce. The referee showed André Luiz Pinheiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Themis Charos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 100th minute. Marcos Catarinense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
