Gerben Eylens made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 7th minute Ab Spiering shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but César Châtelain saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Herman Grommers in the 9th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Green Madness's Grégory Dordain. If Claude Theron had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcel Freitas took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gerben Eylens. Gerben Eylens dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. In the 21st minute, Weena's Humberto Saveneij seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Humberto Saveneij the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Weena protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Humberto Saveneij had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 20 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Weena! After 24 played minutes Weena got a freekick which was hit by Simon Hartogh. Gerben Eylens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcel Freitas in the 27th minute of the match. 31 minutes into the match, Green Madness's Marcel Freitas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gerben Eylens narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Green Madness booed when Weena was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Herman Grommers didn't get a good kick on the ball. Green Madness's Rayan Cochon got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcel Freitas in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gerben Eylens saved Weena from getting behind. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Weena's goalkeeper Gerben Eylens, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Marcel Freitas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gerben Eylens read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. 45 minutes into the match, Marcel Freitas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gerben Eylens. Weena's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marcel Freitas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gio Sloothaak stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Marcel Freitas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Gerben Eylens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 56th minute, Claude Theron made a precise shot to the right of Gerben Eylens. Weena's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jonathan Henno in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gerben Eylens saved Weena from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcel Freitas in the 63rd minute of play forced Weena's goalkeeper Gerben Eylens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Green Madness's Léon Cailleaux was substituted for Marcel Freitas. Gerben Eylens didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jean-Baptiste Desmet went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. In the 73rd minute, Alain Terim made a precise shot to the right of Gerben Eylens. Weena's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. Léon Cailleaux fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gerben Eylens having to interfere. Gerben Eylens didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Léon Cailleaux went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 8-0 was the resulting score. Green Madness's attentive Grégory Dordain managed to snatch the ball when Herman Grommers made a throw-in in the 82nd minute of the game. 86 minutes into the match, Jonathan Henno notched a goal, 9-0, to the right of Weena's Gerben Eylens. Gerben Eylens was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 89th minute of the game Herman Grommers made a throw-in which Gertjan van Zwam played forward.
