İlhan Değirmencioğlu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dacian Corbu in the 14th minute of play forced El Turco's goalkeeper İlhan Değirmencioğlu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Namık Kemal Ergener could shoot a difficult shot in the 15th minute, which Mădălin Uncu however easily saved by the left post. İlhan Değirmencioğlu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Narcis Udroiu in the 18th minute of play. İlhan Değirmencioğlu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ferdinand Drăucean went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in El Turco's zone, Ferdinand Drăucean stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. İlhan Değirmencioğlu came out of the goal and Ferdinand Drăucean tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, FC U Craiova 1948's Emilian Ciorăscu got a free kick in the 24th minute. After 28 played minutes FC U Craiova 1948 got a freekick which was hit by Cristi Racoviță. 32 minutes in the game Narcis Udroiu did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Ferdinand Drăucean. After some careless play in the El Turco defense, Dacian Corbu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of İlhan Değirmencioğlu. The El Turco fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that İlhan Değirmencioğlu should have stopped the shot. A collision led to FC U Craiova 1948 getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Cristi Racoviță hit a great ball. After 45 played minutes El Turco got a freekick which was hit by Enginsu Demirman. İlhan Değirmencioğlu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adrian Ciociu, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. In the 48th minute, Dacian Corbu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. İlhan Değirmencioğlu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. After the first half FC U Craiova 1948 were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Barışcan Demiray made a kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as FC U Craiova 1948's Adrian Ciociu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of İlhan Değirmencioğlu. That made the score 0-5 after 55 minutes of play. İlhan Değirmencioğlu made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Narcis Udroiu sent off a good shot on target. Galip Baykut's late challenge caught a FC U Craiova 1948's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Galip Baykut helped the player get up and apologised. Galip Baykut kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. İlhan Değirmencioğlu was out of position in the 63 minute of play, and Dacian Corbu capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Dacian Corbu really showed his touch with that goal: 0-6. El Turco's İlhan Değirmencioğlu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ferdinand Drăucean in the 66th minute of play. After 87 minutes of play, El Turco's Barışcan Demiray made it 2-7 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mădălin Uncu was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Dacian Corbu got free with İlhan Değirmencioğlu in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 93 minutes into the match, Dacian Corbu dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of İlhan Değirmencioğlu, 2-8. Dacian Corbu scored 2-9 in the 98th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of İlhan Değirmencioğlu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. FC U Craiova 1948's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
