Antonio Križanec showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ubaldo Savion in the 7th minute of the match. Blaž Telesmanić might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joaquin Gudesteo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When the match clock showed 31 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Blaž Telesmanić sped through The Old Boys's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Joaquin Gudesteo. Marin Kuharić's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. Joaquin Gudesteo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. Joaquin Gudesteo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Blaž Telesmanić, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Marin Kuharić managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maksimir's supporters rose to their feet, but Marin Kuharić was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joaquin Gudesteo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 94 minutes of play The Old Boys's Santa Luis was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Santa Luis kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Maksimir's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
