The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Scott Bradbury in the 3rd minute of play forced Lapachito's goalkeeper Cleto Alonso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Scott Bradbury got free with Cleto Alonso in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 8 played minutes Lapachito got a freekick which was hit by Paulino Felipo. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Scott Bradbury in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cleto Alonso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fernan Urbes made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Scott Bradbury got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. El Expreso's Kris Fletcher proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save El Expreso from getting a goal against them. In the 57th match minute, Lapachito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dante Silvanito to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eustacio Felipo got free with Kris Fletcher in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. El Expreso had played much better football throughout.
