The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the game, Juan-Luis Caballero was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Beticostrogodo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave República de la Boca the free kick. After 4 played minutes Beticostrogodo got a freekick which was hit by Juan-Luis Caballero. After 6 played minutes Beticostrogodo got a freekick which was hit by Felipe Bodelon. Everardo Serapio was a little too slow when Juan-Luis Caballero got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 10th minute. The score was now 1-0. Juan-Luis Caballero's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 15thth minute, Everardo Serapio skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. An unexpected shot in the 27th minute by Truylos Baltanas got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 29th minute, Aldo Nisio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, República de la Boca's Everardo Serapio got control of the ball when Juan-Luis Caballero tried to sneak it across the goal line. Everardo Serapio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan-Luis Caballero in the 34th minute of play. In the 35th minute, Vladimiro Henry hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Beticostrogodo getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Truylos Baltanas hit a great ball. Zarando Campomanes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aldo Nisio, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Truylos Baltanas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

In the 52nd minute, Juan-Luis Caballero got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 58 played minutes República de la Boca got a freekick which was hit by Pablo Llorenc. Truylos Baltanas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Everardo Serapio having to interfere. Juan-Luis Caballero took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Everardo Serapio. Everardo Serapio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Aldo Nisio hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match.
