The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Vern Haper made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilfred Zaha in the 17th minute of play. 1930 Bafraspor's Zalmon Ogle suffered a sore thigh after 20 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Paddy Younger fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mordham FC's protests and gave Paddy Younger a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Mordham FC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Paddy Younger hit a great ball. Abu Sap's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vern Haper read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. 41 minutes into the match, Akşemseddin Sarıdoğan notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Mordham FC's Vern Haper. Vern Haper was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, 1930 Bafraspor's Abu Sap got a free kick in the 43rd minute. 44 minutes into the match, 1930 Bafraspor's goalkeeper Efe Akşit had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by David Saville.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Abu Sap to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Mordham FC's goal looked a bit too open when Akşemseddin Sarıdoğan came free, but Vern Haper reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Akşemseddin Sarıdoğan in the 55th minute of play forced Mordham FC's goalkeeper Vern Haper to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mordham FC's Vern Haper proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Mordham FC from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Mordham FC's Nick Lawson got a free kick in the 60th minute. Abu Sap struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Vern Haper didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for 1930 Bafraspor. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abu Sap in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vern Haper prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ash Greaves charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ash Greaves the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of 1930 Bafraspor booed when Mordham FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ash Greaves didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Abu Sap in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vern Haper saved Mordham FC from getting behind. In the 75th minute, Abu Sap got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Abu Sap struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Vern Haper didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for 1930 Bafraspor. Vern Haper didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Abu Sap went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. Vern Haper showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Akşemseddin Sarıdoğan in the 95th minute of the match. With a little luck, Mordham FC's Vern Haper got control of the ball when Abu Sap tried to sneak it across the goal line.
