But to his dismay, Uwe Köppchen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After 18 minutes, Francisco Cruz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CRUZ DEL SUR and the Vila Industrial FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, CRUZ DEL SUR's Francisco Cruz got a free kick in the 18th minute. José Ignacio Berguecio hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. After the first half CRUZ DEL SUR were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Reinaldo Abraão made the kick off in the second half. Doni Velloso was a little too slow when Paco Cabedo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 56th minute. The score was now 0-4. With a little luck, Vila Industrial FC's Doni Velloso got control of the ball when Paco Cabedo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Doni Velloso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paco Cabedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. After 62 minutes Vila Industrial FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was José Ignacio Berguecio who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on CRUZ DEL SUR's corner José Ignacio Berguecio fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Doni Velloso quite easily take care of the ball. In the 65th minute, Paco Cabedo made a precise shot to the right of Doni Velloso. Vila Industrial FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. The crowd rose to their feet as Uwe Köppchen kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Doni Velloso. That made the score 0-6 in the 68 minute of play. After 71 minutes, Teodoro Pirani mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vila Industrial FC and the CRUZ DEL SUR players grew even worse after the yellow card. Vila Industrial FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CRUZ DEL SUR the free kick. In the 91st minute, Sílvio Luís Munhoz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A throw-in in the 93rd minute of the game was made by Elías Cruz with Anacleto Tirado as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. When the final whistle sounded CRUZ DEL SUR left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Vila Industrial FC.
