After a defensive mix-up in Ugonotti's zone, Alfonso Quilo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Camillo Sciotto came out of the goal and Alfonso Quilo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 21 minutes into the game, Ugonotti's Adriano Guadagnoli nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aquilino Osmundo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Anselmo Andreassi kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. When Roman Ostadar came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Gladiators fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roman Ostadar couldn't finish the play. Ugonotti's Camillo Sciotto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Ugonotti from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Ugonotti's Camillo Sciotto got control of the ball when Alfonso Quilo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 35th match minute, Gladiators was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guido Arias to maneuver through the defense. It was beautiful to see Ugonotti's Alvaro Capasso in action when he in the 37th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alfonso Quilo during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 48 played minutes Gladiators got a freekick which was hit by Alfonso Quilo. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Felice Anzolin made a kick off. 57 minutes into the game, Gladiators's Alfonso Quilo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Camillo Sciotto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felice Anzolin got free with Aquilino Osmundo in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Aquilino Osmundo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adriano Guadagnoli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 63rd minute, Alessandro Ciarrocchi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Severino Caetano in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Camillo Sciotto saved Ugonotti from getting behind. Casimiro Hechter hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice moves Felice Anzolin could shoot a difficult shot in the 77th minute, which Aquilino Osmundo however easily saved by the left post. Alfonso Quilo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Camillo Sciotto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dionisio Admon in the 86th minute of play. When Gladiators's Severino Caetano in the 87th minute got a chance for a shot 87th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ugonotti's goalie prevented a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felice Anzolin got free with Aquilino Osmundo in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Aquilino Osmundo was out of position in the 93 minute of play, and Fulvio Calabrese capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Fulvio Calabrese really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2. In the 96th match minute, Ugonotti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anselmo Andreassi to maneuver through the defense. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
