With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fabio Elixio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 60 played minutes Village Saint Charles FRC got a freekick which was hit by Ruperto Fonda. Jordi Ucero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fabio Elixio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cordeiro Viejo in the 62nd minute of the match. In the 65th minute Juan-Carlos Baeza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabio Elixio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Village Saint Charles FRC defense, Jordi Ucero kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fabio Elixio. The Village Saint Charles FRC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fabio Elixio should have stopped the shot. Nemesio Galego was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Sitges's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
