Mauro Montes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Östen Lund made a huge save. In the 26th minute, Svante Melin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mauro Montes in the 29thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Östen Lund, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Mauro Montes took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Östen Lund to make any attempt to save it. Mauro Montes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Östen Lund made a huge save. In the 46th minute, Forza•Rex•Scania's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Mauro Montes fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edgard Medero in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Östen Lund saved Forza•Rex•Scania from getting behind. Östen Lund made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Julio Txatxu sent off a good shot on target. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mauro Montes to make the kick off. In the 83rd minute Mauro Montes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Östen Lund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Östen Lund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauro Montes in the 87th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC had won after a very even match.
