After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Rayanne Chrétien managed to get in a good position for a shot. Olympique Salonais's supporters rose to their feet, but Rayanne Chrétien was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fred Driel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 19th minute, Olympique Salonais's Mounir Aube dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. S.C. Potentia's defense didn't have a chance, in the 22nd minute, when Brandon Veau scored to the left of an out of position Fred Driel, making the score, 2-0. Rayanne Chrétien sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mounir Aube in the 29th minute of play forced S.C. Potentia's goalkeeper Fred Driel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30th minute, Rayanne Chrétien ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fred Driel was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. After a rather tough play, S.C. Potentia's Co Reinhard got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Fred Driel made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Rayanne Chrétien sent off a good shot on target. In the 37th minute, Rayanne Chrétien left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Olympique Salonais fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. In the 43rd minute, Rayanne Chrétien hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

Olympique Salonais's Yann Dieumegard was substituted for Jean-Marie Guerre. The wind increased when Meindert Jongsma made the kick off in the second half. Rayanne Chrétien took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fred Driel. Fred Driel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. S.C. Potentia's Fred Driel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rayanne Chrétien in the 58th minute of play. 62 minutes into the match, S.C. Potentia's goal looked a bit too open when Mounir Aube came free, but Fred Driel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fred Driel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mounir Aube went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. Olympique Salonais made a substitution. Jarod Hild replaced Brandon Veau. Olympique Salonais's Mounir Aube got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Meindert Jongsma in the 74th minute of play forced Olympique Salonais's goalkeeper Terry Grenot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Co Reinhard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Terry Grenot having to interfere. The Olympique Salonais fans' excitement grew in the 78th match minute when Olympique Salonais's Mounir Aube looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 7-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. S.C. Potentia's Fred Driel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mounir Aube in the 83rd minute of play. Fred Driel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jarod Hild, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 93rd minute Mounir Aube shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fred Driel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, S.C. Potentia's Timo van Persie got a free kick in the 94th minute. Fred Driel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rayanne Chrétien in the 95th minute of the match. Fred Driel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jarod Hild in the 97th minute of play. Olympique Salonais walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
