Spectators: 167 (Terracing: 126, Seating: 38, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ottó Puskás started the match with the kick off. Antal Szegedi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thomas Polster having to interfere. Poli Timisoara's Roy Piater got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Torben Scherrer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Roy Piater scored 0-1 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of György Juhász, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Antal Szegedi fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mesterháza's protests and gave Antal Szegedi a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Poli Timisoara booed when Mesterháza was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antal Szegedi didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 20th match minute, Poli Timisoara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastian Gehlen to maneuver through the defense. György Juhász came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Poli Timisoara's Justin Kulovitz. But to his dismay, Justin Kulovitz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 32ndth minute of the game Ottó Puskás who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Poli Timisoara's Thomas Polster was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Roy Piater received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. György Juhász tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 43rd minute Roy Piater shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but György Juhász saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Poli Timisoara's Justin Kulovitz got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Mesterháza defense, Roy Piater kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of György Juhász. The Mesterháza fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that György Juhász should have stopped the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Justin Kulovitz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Roy Piater got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 57 minutes into the match, Mesterháza's goalkeeper György Juhász had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roy Piater. György Juhász made an important save on a dangerous shot by Roy Piater in the 58th minute. In the 63rd match minute, Poli Timisoara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andreas Unterligauer to maneuver through the defense. Imre Fodor took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Thomas Polster. Thomas Polster dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. In the 75th minute Andreas Unterligauer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but György Juhász saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 77th minute, Imre Fodor made a precise shot to the right of Thomas Polster. Poli Timisoara's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. György Juhász showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roy Piater, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Justin Kulovitz in the 85th minute of play forced Mesterháza's goalkeeper György Juhász to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 86th minute, Poli Timisoara's Andreas Unterligauer dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-4. With a little luck, Mesterháza's György Juhász got control of the ball when Roy Piater tried to sneak it across the goal line. Roy Piaters short, quick shot in the 93rdth minute got György Juhász to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Antal Szegedi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Poli Timisoara eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
