Yakup Arslantürk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilco Korfs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Yakup Arslantürk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilco Korfs in the 4th minute of play. Ate Famelen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tamer Refah in the 6th minute of play. The supporters of De hijgende Hertjes booed when göztepe gençlik was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vahap Acunalp didn't get a good kick on the ball. göztepe gençlik's defense didn't have a chance, in the 11th minute, when Otto Korevaar scored to the left of an out of position Yakup Arslantürk, making the score, 1-0. Aytuğ Bahçıvan's late challenge caught a De hijgende Hertjes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aytuğ Bahçıvan helped the player get up and apologised. After 15 played minutes göztepe gençlik got a freekick which was hit by Aytuğ Bahçıvan. Wilco Korfs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Yakup Arslantürk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alex Belém in the 20th minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 22 minutes, Yakup Arslantürk successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Ate Famelen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Habib Oksar, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Wilco Korfs took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Yakup Arslantürk to make any attempt to save it. Erik Oorschot sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 32 minutes into the match, De hijgende Hertjes's goal looked a bit too open when Habib Oksar came free, but Ate Famelen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Otto Korevaar managed to get in a good position for a shot. De hijgende Hertjes's supporters rose to their feet, but Otto Korevaar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Yakup Arslantürk breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Henny de Zeeuw fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored De hijgende Hertjes's protests and gave Henny de Zeeuw a yellow card for diving instead. Henny de Zeeuw hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. göztepe gençlik's Yakup Arslantürk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alex Belém in the 37th minute of play. Yakup Arslantürk came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by De hijgende Hertjes's Henny de Zeeuw. But to his dismay, Henny de Zeeuw quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. De hijgende Hertjes were furious when Henny de Zeeuw was red carded, 45 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 46 played minutes De hijgende Hertjes got a freekick which was hit by Henny de Zeeuw.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tamer Refah made a kick off. 52 minutes into the game, De hijgende Hertjes's Alex Belém nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Yakup Arslantürk made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. 56 minutes into the match, De hijgende Hertjes's goal looked a bit too open when Aktan Ayaz came free, but Ate Famelen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Riemer Mulders had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex Belém in the 59th minute of play forced göztepe gençlik's goalkeeper Yakup Arslantürk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Riemer Mulders had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yakup Arslantürk came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by De hijgende Hertjes's Alex Belém. But to his dismay, Alex Belém quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. De hijgende Hertjes's Otto Korevaar got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 71st minute, Tamer Refah got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Habib Oksar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Ate Famelen made a huge save. Yakup Arslantürk came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by De hijgende Hertjes's Alex Belém. But to his dismay, Alex Belém quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex Belém in the 79th minute of play forced göztepe gençlik's goalkeeper Yakup Arslantürk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 80th minute, Talip Işıner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. De hijgende Hertjes's Ate Famelen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save De hijgende Hertjes from getting a goal against them. After 83 minutes of play, De hijgende Hertjes's Frits Andriessen made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Yakup Arslantürk was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 86 played minutes göztepe gençlik got a freekick which was hit by Ahmet Çağrı Barın. Yakup Arslantürk didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Riemer Mulders went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 8-0 was the resulting score. Ate Famelen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tamer Refah's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. With a little luck, De hijgende Hertjes's Ate Famelen got control of the ball when Ahmet Çağrı Barın tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the referee ended the match the De hijgende Hertjes players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
