In the 18th match minute, Esmeralda AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victor Cordaryal to maneuver through the defense. After 19 played minutes Esmeralda AFC got a freekick which was hit by Victor Cordaryal. In the 20th match minute, Cadáveres Voladores was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jimeno Berdoi to maneuver through the defense. 25 minutes into the match, Jimeno Berdoi notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Esmeralda AFC's Albano Nazario. Albano Nazario was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Albano Nazario made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Jimeno Berdoi sent off a good shot on target. With an all-out effort, Cadáveres Voladores's Albano Nazario threw himself towards the right post 30 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Marco Lertxun, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. A collision led to Esmeralda AFC getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Venancio Cordarell hit a great ball. After 42 minutes, Aaron Fagildo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Esmeralda AFC and the Cadáveres Voladores players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 42 played minutes Esmeralda AFC got a freekick which was hit by Aaron Fagildo. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marco Lertxun during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Marco Lertxun hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. 46 minutes into the game, Esmeralda AFC's Victor Cordaryal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Artemio Flor made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Jimeno Berdoi made the kick off in the second half. 58 minutes into the match, Marco Lertxun had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Albano Nazario. Esmeralda AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marco Lertxun was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Albano Nazario showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jimeno Berdoi in the 66th minute of the match. Serafino Eguntsenti hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Erubiel Nardo kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Eugenio Mercurio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cadáveres Voladores's supporters rose to their feet, but Eugenio Mercurio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Albano Nazario breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Esmeralda AFC's Albano Nazario played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jimeno Berdoi in the 73rd minute of play. Narciso Nicholas kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Artemio Flor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cayetano Txerran in the 80th minute of play. Javier Hermelando charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Javier Hermelando the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 81 played minutes Esmeralda AFC got a freekick which was hit by Javier Hermelando. Albano Nazario stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arsenio Domiku's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. Saturnino Iturri hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. In the 88th minute Jimeno Berdoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albano Nazario saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Albano Nazario took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jimeno Berdoi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jimeno Berdoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Albano Nazario tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Artemio Flor didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 96th minute, which inside left pole to 2-3. The Esmeralda AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Esmeralda AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
