Camilo Betanzos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chacarita Futsal. 14 minutes into the game, Chacarita Futsal's Evaristo Perez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Camilo Betanzos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 19th minute Evaristo Perez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Camilo Betanzos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Evaristo Perez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Camilo Betanzos was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. The supporters of Chacarita Futsal booed when La Murguita was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Artal Coronel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emilio Munio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gorri Langayo, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Camilo Betanzos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evaristo Perez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind La Murguita's goalkeeper Camilo Betanzos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in La Murguita's zone, Lothar Matthäus stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Camilo Betanzos came out of the goal and Lothar Matthäus tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lothar Matthäus might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Camilo Betanzos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lothar Matthäus ran back to his position shaking his head. The La Murguita players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Chacarita Futsal were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Evaristo Perez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Valentin Bento scored 0-3 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Camilo Betanzos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Camilo Betanzos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Evaristo Perez in the 55th minute. La Murguita's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Valentin Bento was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Chacarita Futsal made a substitution. After 87 played minutes La Murguita got a freekick which was hit by Galeno Arlines. 95 minutes into the match, La Murguita's goal looked a bit too open when Libertad Treviño came free, but Camilo Betanzos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
