After 11 played minutes Legio X Eqvestris got a freekick which was hit by Marcelo Florin. Sergio Massa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tudor Cioculescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee felt a red card was in order, 15 minutes into the game, when Horaţiu Arsenescu put in a rough tackle. After 15 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for A4p FC Gad! 1-1 came through a penalty shot after 17 played minutes, when Legio X Eqvestris:s Teofilo Oihan calmly waited for A4p FC Gad:s goalkeeper to move before he rolled in the ball by the right post. Ernest Bianu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Legio X Eqvestris booed when A4p FC Gad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dragoş Grădinaru didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 31st minute, Legio X Eqvestris's Domingos Santio dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. Ion Petrică sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 43rd minute, Tudor Cioculescu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sergio Massa was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. In the 47th minute, Bernabe Larra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Domingos Santio to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute Emiliano Louis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valer Bolcaș saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 54th minute, Niculae Boltașu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of A4p FC Gad booed when Legio X Eqvestris was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Artemio Bortzaioriz didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Ion Petrică came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the A4p FC Gad fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ion Petrică couldn't finish the play. In the 59th minute, Ernest Bianu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sergio Massa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tudor Cioculescu in the 70th minute of play. 75 minutes into the game, Gustavo Luzaide was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Legio X Eqvestris's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave A4p FC Gad the free kick. Gustavo Luzaide hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Tudor Cioculescu's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 78thth minute, Sergio Massa skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Sergio Massa was out of position in the 93 minute of play, and Petru Tărău capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Petru Tărău really showed his touch with that goal: 2-3. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. A4p FC Gad had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
