The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Guga Bezerra stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joélson da Mata got free with Elias Horn in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dedê Jacinto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Guga Bezerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Flavio Graziani hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Angelo Britto's late challenge caught a FC Beatriz 08's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Angelo Britto helped the player get up and apologised. In the 93rd match minute, Bebela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angelo Britto to maneuver through the defense. 94 minutes into the game, FC Beatriz 08's Rafael Pereira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot.
