In the 8th minute, Luiz Fernando Chaves made a precise shot to the right of Lúcio Fernandez. Minuim SS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Murillo Valadares didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Téo de Almeida went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ernani Guedes during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Germania F.C.'s Ernani Guedes got a free kick in the 16th minute. Hudson de Toledo's late challenge caught a Minuim SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hudson de Toledo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 21st minute, Hudson de Toledo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Murillo Valadares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo José Moraes, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. In the 27th match minute, Germania F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernani Guedes to maneuver through the defense. In the 28th minute of the match Narciso Rocha shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Murillo Valadares showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After some careless play in the Germania F.C. defense, Téo de Almeida kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Murillo Valadares. The Germania F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Murillo Valadares should have stopped the shot. Paulo José Moraes took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Murillo Valadares. Murillo Valadares dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luiz Fernando Chaves stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Murillo Valadares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dieguinho Tasso in the 52nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Narciso Rocha got free with Murillo Valadares in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Minuim SS's Clemente Brodel got a free kick in the 57th minute. Silvinho Toscano kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Germania F.C.'s Murillo Valadares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo José Moraes in the 63rd minute of play. A collision led to Germania F.C. getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Silvinho Toscano hit a great ball. Tony Queiroz kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernani Guedes in the 75th minute of play forced Minuim SS's goalkeeper Lúcio Fernandez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 79 minutes of play Germania F.C.'s Ernani Guedes was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 80 played minutes Germania F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Ernani Guedes. Murillo Valadares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dieguinho Tasso in the 81st minute of play. Murillo Valadares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dieguinho Tasso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Germania F.C.'s zone, Téo de Almeida stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Murillo Valadares came out of the goal and Téo de Almeida tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Minuim SS played a much better game than Germania F.C. and deserved their victory. The Germania F.C. players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
