Sport Guild Atlantis's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Trabzonspor the free kick. After 4 played minutes Sport Guild Atlantis got a freekick which was hit by Deivid Abraão. After a defensive mix-up in Sport Guild Atlantis's zone, Emre Aşık stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Válter Peixoto came out of the goal and Emre Aşık tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Roger Mendes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sport Guild Atlantis's supporters rose to their feet, but Roger Mendes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ali Cafer Yener breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Válter Peixoto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Şükrü Yuvakuran in the 10th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 14 minutes, Ali Cafer Yener successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roger Mendes in the 23rd minute of play forced Trabzonspor's goalkeeper Ali Cafer Yener to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Roger Mendes fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sport Guild Atlantis's protests and gave Roger Mendes a yellow card for diving instead. After 25 played minutes Sport Guild Atlantis got a freekick which was hit by Roger Mendes. In the 29th minute Trabzonspor were awarded a corner. Burak Bostancı went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Trabzonspor's Hızır Dicle to a score. 0-1 in the 29th minute. If Gustavo Gomes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sport Guild Atlantis's Válter Peixoto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emre Aşık in the 35th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fehmi Okay in the 36th minute of play forced Sport Guild Atlantis's goalkeeper Válter Peixoto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 38th minute Emre Aşık shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Válter Peixoto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gustavo Gomes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fehmi Okay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Válter Peixoto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 47 minutes into the game, Emre Aşık cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Válter Peixoto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gustavo Gomes was the one to do the kick off. 57 minutes into the game, Trabzonspor's Emre Aşık nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Válter Peixoto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. In the 60th minute, Fehmi Okay reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Válter Peixoto. The goal made the score 0-4. Ali Cafer Yener made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustavo Gomes in the 63rd minute of play. In the 65th minute Sport Guild Atlantis were awarded a corner. Dinei Chaves went to the cornerflag to take it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fehmi Okay during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Sport Guild Atlantis booed when Trabzonspor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fehmi Okay didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ali Cafer Yener showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustavo Gomes in the 67th minute of the match. The supporters of Trabzonspor booed when Sport Guild Atlantis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustavo Gomes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emre Aşık could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Válter Peixoto made a huge save. Válter Peixoto was a little too slow when Şükrü Yuvakuran got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 77th minute. The score was now 0-5. When Sport Guild Atlantis's Gustavo Gomes in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. With his leg Válter Peixoto managed to avoid a goal in the 93rdth minute, when Trabzonspor's Şükrü Yuvakuran fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 95th minute, Şükrü Yuvakuran hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Trabzonspor supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Trabzonspor would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
