In the 11th minute, Otávio Arce fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Benicio Abarca, passed just outside the right post. After a rather tough play, Rio de la Plata 91218 3-1's Aristides Francis got a free kick in the 11th minute. Joaquim Freitas took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 14th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Benicio Abarca. Rio de la Plata 91218 3-1's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Benicio Abarca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Otávio Arce, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. 17 minutes into the match, S.E. Cachoeirinha's Luiz Moreira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benicio Abarca narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dorival Veloso received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Benicio Abarca came out and tried to block the shot, but Dorival Veloso slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 21st minute. Aristides Francis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Betão de Amaral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gustavo Garci took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 28th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Betão de Amaral. S.E. Cachoeirinha's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luiz Fabiano Prata got free with Benicio Abarca in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Otávio Arce sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Otávio Arce made a kick off. Betão de Amaral stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gustavo Garci's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. With a little luck, S.E. Cachoeirinha's Betão de Amaral got control of the ball when Bernardo Salvatore tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rio de la Plata 91218 3-1's Benicio Abarca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Otávio Arce in the 55th minute of play. Benicio Abarca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elder Luz in the 60th minute of play. Cachoeirinha were furious when Filipe de Souza was red carded, 78 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 79 played minutes S.E. Cachoeirinha got a freekick which was hit by Filipe de Souza. Dorival Veloso's late challenge caught a Rio de la Plata 91218 3-1's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dorival Veloso helped the player get up and apologised. Benicio Abarca was left in no man's land by his defense there! S.E. Cachoeirinha's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
