Sonny Brogren hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. 4 minutes into the match, Mountainhammer United's goal looked a bit too open when Ferruccio Mazza came free, but Kent Delin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dennis Bergomi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evert Forss in the 5th minute of the match. In the 7th minute, Sven-Oskar Forsberg sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and A.C. MILANS's Dennis Bergomi didn't even have to move. In the 10th minute Evert Forss shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dennis Bergomi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dennis Bergomi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kent Rang in the 13th minute of the match. Kent Delin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Biagio Di Massa in the 14th minute. In the 21st minute, Sven-Oskar Forsberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dennis Bergomi was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 24thth minute of the game Kent Rang who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but A.C. MILANS's Dennis Bergomi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A.C. MILANS's Ferruccio Mazza got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sonny Brogren hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. 31 minutes into the game, Mountainhammer United's Harry Arvidsson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dennis Bergomi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ferruccio Mazza to make the kick off. The supporters of A.C. MILANS booed when Mountainhammer United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rudolf Pihlberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dennis Antognoni's late challenge caught a Mountainhammer United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dennis Antognoni helped the player get up and apologised. In the 58th match minute, A.C. MILANS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dennis Antognoni to maneuver through the defense. Dennis Bergomi was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Kent Rang showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 62 minute of play. In the 65th minute, Joachim Frisck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 65th minute of the match Federico Palmucci sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kent Delin skillfully saved the ball. After 67 played minutes Mountainhammer United got a freekick which was hit by Kent Rang. After some careless play in the A.C. MILANS defense, Kent Rang kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dennis Bergomi. The A.C. MILANS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dennis Bergomi should have stopped the shot. In the 75th minute, Dennis Antognoni hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ercole Liberti blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kent Delin having to make a save. A.C. MILANS's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Evert Forss 83 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-6. 87 minutes into the game, Harry Arvidsson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-7. Dennis Bergomi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Harry Arvidsson succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-8 in the 90th playminute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Harry Arvidsson got free with Dennis Bergomi in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to A.C. MILANS getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Fabrizio Corleone hit a great ball. After 96 played minutes, Mountainhammer United's Sven-Oskar Forsberg shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dennis Bergomi came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Mountainhammer United reached it. The A.C. MILANS fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Mountainhammer United were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
