Jordão Barbosa received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Elvio Damario came out and tried to block the shot, but Jordão Barbosa slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 12th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 16 minutes, Elvio Damario successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 18 minutes Desafio FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Fernando Couto who took care of the corner kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carlos Pacheco got free with Elvio Damario in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Elvio Damario showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jordão Barbosa in the 21st minute of the match. In the 24th match minute, KINDERUZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafael Rebelo to maneuver through the defense. Vicente Huly sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 31 minutes into the match, Francisco Macena had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Elvio Damario. Desafio FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Francisco Macena was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Vladimiro Eguntsenti's late challenge caught a KINDERUZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vladimiro Eguntsenti helped the player get up and apologised. Fernando Couto shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vicente Huly in the 40th minute of play forced KINDERUZ's goalkeeper Gualter Carmo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 48 played minutes, KINDERUZ's António Silva shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Elvio Damario came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in KINDERUZ reached it. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vicente Huly to make the kick off. With a little luck, KINDERUZ's Gualter Carmo got control of the ball when Vicente Huly tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 58thth minute of the game Jordão Barbosa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Desafio FC's Elvio Damario was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Rafael Rebelo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 66 minutes, Francisco Macena managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KINDERUZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Francisco Macena was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 71st minute of the match Fernando Couto sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Elvio Damario skillfully saved the ball. If Jordão Barbosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 82nd match minute, KINDERUZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafael Balsemão to maneuver through the defense. In the 84th minute Vicente Huly shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gualter Carmo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gualter Carmo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Vicente Huly showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-1 in the 85 minute of play. Francisco Macena took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Elvio Damario. Elvio Damario dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jordão Barbosa in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Elvio Damario saved Desafio FC from getting behind. Many of Desafio FC's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Desafio FC may have spent more time on the ball, but KINDERUZ were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
