Sergio Policarpio started the match with the kick off. If Emiliano Gamboa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 2nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 4 minutes into the game, Evaristo Ulate cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Serafino Foro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Elias Carballo in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Serafino Foro saved POETAS DEL CESPED from getting behind. Serafino Foro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tuto Moya in the 9th minute of play. After some careless play in the POETAS DEL CESPED defense, Lyubcho Mangalski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Serafino Foro. The POETAS DEL CESPED fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Serafino Foro should have stopped the shot. Serafino Foro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Elias Carballo went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the POETAS DEL CESPED defense, Emiliano Gamboa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Serafino Foro. The POETAS DEL CESPED fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Serafino Foro should have stopped the shot. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Elias Carballo put it in 0-5 from a short distance just to the right of Serafino Foro. After 26 played minutes POETAS DEL CESPED got a freekick which was hit by Dario Delfino. 34 minutes into the match, Emiliano Gamboa notched a goal, 0-6, to the right of POETAS DEL CESPED's Serafino Foro. Serafino Foro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Emiliano Gamboa struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Serafino Foro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CS La Libertad. 45 minutes into the match, Elias Carballo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Serafino Foro. POETAS DEL CESPED's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Elias Carballo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-9. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-9 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Elias Carballo made a kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Elias Carballo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Serafino Foro, 0-10. After 54 minutes, Elias Carballo made it 0-11 with a short kick to the right side. POETAS DEL CESPED's Serafino Foro tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Serafino Foro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lyubcho Mangalski in the 57th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nicolas Gines during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 58th match minute, POETAS DEL CESPED was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicolas Gines to maneuver through the defense. 61 minutes into the match, POETAS DEL CESPED's goalkeeper Serafino Foro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jason Carrillo. Serafino Foro was out of position in the 62 minute of play, and Emiliano Gamboa capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Emiliano Gamboa really showed his touch with that goal: 0-12. After 65 minutes of play POETAS DEL CESPED's Nicolas Gines was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of CS La Libertad booed when POETAS DEL CESPED was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicolas Gines didn't get a good kick on the ball. CS La Libertad's Felipe Porras was substituted for Tuto Moya. CS La Libertad made a substitution. Martin Castillo replaced Oldemar Masis. After 67 played minutes POETAS DEL CESPED got a freekick which was hit by Nicolas Gines. 69 minutes into the match, POETAS DEL CESPED's goalkeeper Serafino Foro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jason Carrillo. In the 76th minute, Mateo Kepa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Elias Carballo took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Serafino Foro. Serafino Foro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-14. POETAS DEL CESPED's Serafino Foro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save POETAS DEL CESPED from getting a goal against them. 96 minutes into the match, POETAS DEL CESPED's goal looked a bit too open when Emiliano Gamboa came free, but Serafino Foro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. CS La Libertad's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
