After some careless play in the River Plate defense, Muammer Payidar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Manuel Eguen. The River Plate fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Manuel Eguen should have stopped the shot. When Silvano Jurdan fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored River Plate's protests and gave Silvano Jurdan a yellow card for diving instead. After 14 played minutes River Plate got a freekick which was hit by Silvano Jurdan. Gürhan Zoral made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Efrain Blai sent off a good shot on target. Feliberto Orlin's late challenge caught a KAYSERİ ERCİYES 1932's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Feliberto Orlin helped the player get up and apologised. River Plate's Manuel Eguen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aykut Sümeroğlu in the 24th minute of play. Efrain Blai could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Gürhan Zoral made a huge save. Manuel Eguen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baturhan Köken in the 28th minute of the match. 29 minutes into the match, Yalçın Sefer had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Manuel Eguen. River Plate's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Yalçın Sefer was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. In the 35th minute, Yalçın Sefer left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The KAYSERİ ERCİYES 1932 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Muammer Payidar in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Manuel Eguen saved River Plate from getting behind. After 39 minutes of play River Plate's Feliberto Orlin was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 39th match minute, River Plate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Feliberto Orlin to maneuver through the defense. When Leonardo Jesco was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 41 minutes had been played. A collision led to River Plate getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Leonardo Jesco hit a great ball. 42 minutes into the game, Baturhan Köken cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-6. Manuel Eguen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Baran Mutlu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Manuel Eguen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-6 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Baturhan Köken made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Yalçın Sefer ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Manuel Eguen was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-7. With a little luck, River Plate's Manuel Eguen got control of the ball when Muammer Payidar tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, River Plate's Alfredo Stephen got a free kick in the 60th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baturhan Köken in the 62nd minute of play forced River Plate's goalkeeper Manuel Eguen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. River Plate's Manuel Eguen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save River Plate from getting a goal against them. Manuel Eguen made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Muammer Payidar sent off a good shot on target. Luis Isadore was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 66 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, River Plate's Luis Isadore got a free kick in the 67th minute. Devran Sezgin took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 68th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Manuel Eguen. River Plate's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Manuel Eguen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yalçın Sefer, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Manuel Eguen made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Baturhan Köken sent off a good shot on target. 81 minutes into the match, River Plate's goal looked a bit too open when Baturhan Köken came free, but Manuel Eguen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Manuel Eguen made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Muammer Payidar sent off a good shot on target. Manuel Eguen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baturhan Köken, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 85th minute, Muammer Payidar reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Manuel Eguen. The goal made the score 0-9. 89 minutes into the game, Gökcan Özdal recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Manuel Eguen. Gökcan Özdal showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-10. The crowd rose to their feet as Muammer Payidar kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Manuel Eguen. That made the score 0-11 in the 93 minute of play. Manuel Eguen was a little too slow when Yalçın Sefer got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 96th minute. The score was now 0-12.
