The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Reko-Recko 03™'s Carlos Eduardo Donatello played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Moises Beremundo in the 4th minute of play. When Moises Beremundo came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the LOS CAVERNÍCOLAS S.F. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Moises Beremundo couldn't finish the play. After 10 played minutes Reko-Recko 03™ got a freekick which was hit by Jarbas Pombal. 15 minutes into the game, Jarbas Pombal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Reko-Recko 03™'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave LOS CAVERNÍCOLAS S.F. the free kick. Jarbas Pombal kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Federico Valverde received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Gabriel Eleder tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alessandro Moraes's late challenge caught a LOS CAVERNÍCOLAS S.F.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alessandro Moraes helped the player get up and apologised. After 29 played minutes Reko-Recko 03™ got a freekick which was hit by Alessandro Moraes. Gabriel Eleder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jarbas Pombal in the 35th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Camilo Fresnedo during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Reko-Recko 03™ getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Camilo Fresnedo hit a great ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Paulino Liher stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Reko-Recko 03™'s Robinho Falcão got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Reko-Recko 03™ getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Robinho Falcão hit a great ball. Zé Augusto Moura struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Gabriel Eleder didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Reko-Recko 03™. With an all-out effort, Reko-Recko 03™'s Gabriel Eleder threw himself towards the right post 71 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Zé Augusto Moura, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 76 minutes into the match, Zé Augusto Moura dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gabriel Eleder, 0-2. The audience was convinced that Jarbas Pombal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gabriel Eleder was relentless in the 88th minute of the game.
