The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 5 minutes of play, A.S. Udinese's Emilio Dossena made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edgar Samuelsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! Edgar Samuelsson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eraldo Motta went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 17th minute, Filippo Di Leonardo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edgar Samuelsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eraldo Motta in the 20th minute of the match. Edgar Samuelsson came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by A.S. Udinese's Eraldo Motta. But to his dismay, Eraldo Motta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Eraldo Motta took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edgar Samuelsson. Edgar Samuelsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. 29 minutes into the match, A.S. Udinese's Ernesto Delle Donne sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edgar Samuelsson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Edgar Samuelsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eraldo Motta, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. 33 minutes into the match, Preator Edikt's goal looked a bit too open when Eraldo Motta came free, but Edgar Samuelsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 35th match minute, Preator Edikt was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arne Gunnarsson to maneuver through the defense. The A.S. Udinese fans' excitement grew in the 38th match minute when A.S. Udinese's Eraldo Motta looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When Ernesto Delle Donne came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the A.S. Udinese fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ernesto Delle Donne couldn't finish the play. Arvid Östensson hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Emilio Dossena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A.S. Udinese made a substitution. Alessio Ferreri replaced Ferenc Kocsis. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.

Eraldo Mottas short, quick shot in the 53rdth minute got Edgar Samuelsson to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When Mathias Mellin fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Preator Edikt's protests and gave Mathias Mellin a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Preator Edikt's Mathias Mellin got a free kick in the 54th minute. Eraldo Motta's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edgar Samuelsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. After 71 played minutes Preator Edikt got a freekick which was hit by Mathias Mellin. When Corrado Pietropaolo came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the A.S. Udinese fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Corrado Pietropaolo couldn't finish the play. With his leg Edgar Samuelsson managed to avoid a goal in the 78thth minute, when A.S. Udinese's Eraldo Motta fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Preator Edikt's Edgar Samuelsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Preator Edikt from getting a goal against them. In the 82nd minute, Christopher Sandwall hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mathias Mellin kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Edgar Samuelsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Corrado Pietropaolo, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Arne Gunnarsson's late challenge caught a A.S. Udinese's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arne Gunnarsson helped the player get up and apologised. Arne Gunnarsson hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Corrado Pietropaolo was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 93rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, A.S. Udinese's Alessio Ferreri got a free kick in the 96th minute. A.S. Udinese's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
