The supporters of ◄◄Lucas Cerro Largo►► booed when Leigh AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brad Rigg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hipolito Oyanguren kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Emilio Cid sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Frankie Higgins made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Atauri Fermoso in the 16th minute of play. In the 19th minute Atauri Fermoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frankie Higgins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Atauri Fermoso struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Frankie Higgins didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ◄◄Lucas Cerro Largo►►. Frankie Higgins came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by ◄◄Lucas Cerro Largo►►'s Angelo Maujo. But to his dismay, Angelo Maujo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 27 minutes into the match, Atauri Fermoso had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Frankie Higgins. Leigh AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Atauri Fermoso was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After a rather tough play, Leigh AFC's Lucas Kirk got a free kick in the 33rd minute. ◄◄Lucas Cerro Largo►►'s Angelo Maujo got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 37th minute of the game. One of Leigh AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of ◄◄Lucas Cerro Largo►►:s goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Andrew Colman to strike the kick off in the second half. Helder Marty came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Leigh AFC's Andrew Colman. But to his dismay, Andrew Colman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Brad Rigg hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. After 62 played minutes Leigh AFC got a freekick which was hit by Lucas Kirk. 72 minutes into the match, Paddy Fieldwick had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Helder Marty. ◄◄Lucas Cerro Largo►►'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Paddy Fieldwick was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-3. After a defensive mix-up in ◄◄Lucas Cerro Largo►►'s zone, Andrew Colman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Helder Marty came out of the goal and Andrew Colman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leigh AFC's Frankie Higgins played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Atauri Fermoso in the 83rd minute of play. In the 84th match minute, Leigh AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Louis Downs to maneuver through the defense. Ariando Belda kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. In the 92nd minute Emilio Cid shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frankie Higgins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Leigh AFC's Frankie Higgins got control of the ball when Ariando Belda tried to sneak it across the goal line. ◄◄Lucas Cerro Largo►► were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Leigh AFC to leave the ground with a draw.
