The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fabiano Gismondi during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 36th match minute, TRANSILVANIA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabiano Gismondi to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Amedeo Vago's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Karl-Magnus Nordlund was relentless in the 44th minute of the game.

If Dennis Di Franco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wictor Eriksson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberigo Cerrone having to interfere. Aldo Vasco was shown his second yellow card after 87 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 88th match minute, TRANSILVANIA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aldo Vasco to maneuver through the defense. Karl-Magnus Nordlund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dennis Di Franco in the 93rd minute of play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
