In the 3rd minute, Patxi Claude hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 7th minute, Luis Gaymer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the ŞAHŞEHRİYAR FK defense, Wilson Morales kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aydın Yücel. The ŞAHŞEHRİYAR FK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aydın Yücel should have stopped the shot. ŞAHŞEHRİYAR FK's Aydın Yücel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save ŞAHŞEHRİYAR FK from getting a goal against them. Club Deportes Santa Cruz were awarded a corner in the 13th minute after ŞAHŞEHRİYAR FK's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Norberto Oviedo took the corner. In the 14th minute Rahmi Öner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luis Alberto Lazcano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Club Deportes Santa Cruz's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Norberto Oviedo in the 17th minute. A nice corner shot did that Norberto Oviedo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Aydın Yücel quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Aydın Yücel made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Luis Gaymer sent off a good shot on target. After 24 minutes of play, ŞAHŞEHRİYAR FK's Dilaver İltemiz made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luis Alberto Lazcano was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luis Gaymer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aydın Yücel having to interfere. 30 minutes into the game, Luis Gaymer lined in a short shot 2-1 behind a frustrated Aydın Yücel. A collision led to Club Deportes Santa Cruz getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Adán Arredondo hit a great ball. Rahmi Öner, 35 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The referee felt a red card was in order, 37 minutes into the game, when İnanç Aytolun put in a rough tackle. In the 38th match minute, ŞAHŞEHRİYAR FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by İnanç Aytolun to maneuver through the defense. In the 39th minute of the match Norberto Oviedo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Aydın Yücel skillfully saved the ball. In the 46th match minute, Club Deportes Santa Cruz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilson Morales to maneuver through the defense. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dilaver İltemiz made a kick off. After 56 played minutes ŞAHŞEHRİYAR FK got a freekick which was hit by Samet Kadem. A collision led to Club Deportes Santa Cruz getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Jaume Berecedo hit a great ball. Luis Gaymer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The corner ended in Norberto Oviedo almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but ŞAHŞEHRİYAR FK's Aydın Yücel did a great save. 68 minutes into the game, Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Wilson Morales nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aydın Yücel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. Aydın Yücel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Patxi Claude went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. Luis Gaymer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aydın Yücel having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaume Berecedo in the 83rd minute of play forced ŞAHŞEHRİYAR FK's goalkeeper Aydın Yücel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Wilson Morales had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Wilson Morales recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaume Berecedo in the 90th minute of play forced ŞAHŞEHRİYAR FK's goalkeeper Aydın Yücel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luis Alberto Lazcano was a little too slow when Uygur Yüce got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 91st minute. The score was now 5-2. 95 minutes into the match, Patxi Claude had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aydın Yücel. ŞAHŞEHRİYAR FK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Patxi Claude was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-2. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Club Deportes Santa Cruz had played much better football throughout.
