Baia Mare -MM- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victor Acalinei didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 3rdth minute of the game Witold Majkowski who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but F.C. Baia Mare -MM-'s Edgar Geangu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Zagłębie Dąbrowskie's Dobromir Bronder in the 5th minute got a chance for a shot 5th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye F.C. Baia Mare -MM-'s goalie prevented a goal. Witold Majkowski took the ball and in the 6 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edgar Geangu. Edgar Geangu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Edgar Geangu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Witold Majkowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Paul Vizitiu fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored F.C. Baia Mare -MM-'s protests and gave Paul Vizitiu a yellow card for diving instead. In the 21st minute, Paul Vizitiu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Zagłębie Dąbrowskie getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Jaroslaw Nigbor hit a great ball. Paul Vizitiu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Lucjan Oborski made a huge save. Edgar Geangu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Witold Majkowski went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. 38 minutes into the match, F.C. Baia Mare -MM-'s goal looked a bit too open when Radomil Bugno came free, but Edgar Geangu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zagłębie Dąbrowskie's Radomil Bugno got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Dobromir Bronder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Zagłębie Dąbrowskie were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for David Vieru to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in F.C. Baia Mare -MM-'s zone, Daniel Borowski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edgar Geangu came out of the goal and Daniel Borowski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 54 minutes of play, Zagłębie Dąbrowskie's Witold Majkowski made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edgar Geangu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Witold Majkowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgar Geangu having to interfere. Octav Lupoi hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Zagłębie Dąbrowskie's 庞延然 got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 62nd minute, Witold Majkowski reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Edgar Geangu. The goal made the score 0-5. After a defensive mix-up in F.C. Baia Mare -MM-'s zone, Jaroslaw Nigbor stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edgar Geangu came out of the goal and Jaroslaw Nigbor tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edgar Geangu came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by Zagłębie Dąbrowskie's Witold Majkowski. But to his dismay, Witold Majkowski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. Edgar Geangu was out of position in the 73 minute of play, and Radomil Bugno capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Radomil Bugno really showed his touch with that goal: 0-7. A collision led to F.C. Baia Mare -MM- getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Andrei Ţăranu hit a great ball. 81 minutes into the game, Radomil Bugno recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Edgar Geangu. Radomil Bugno showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-8. In the 87th minute, Andrei Ţăranu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Witold Majkowski received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Edgar Geangu came out and tried to block the shot, but Witold Majkowski slotted it home off the left post making it 0-9 in the 91st minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Radomil Bugno during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The F.C. Baia Mare -MM- fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Zagłębie Dąbrowskie were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
