Svetozar Popchev could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Rashko Idakiev made a huge save. Francesco Toldo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stanyo Lazhev in the 9th minute of play. In the 10th minute ФК Созополи were awarded a corner. Velichko Dochev went to the cornerflag to take it. Teodosi Baydanov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rashko Idakiev having to interfere. After a rather tough play, ФК Созополи's Vancho Lazarkov got a free kick in the 24th minute. ФК Созополи were furious when Milcho Derventski was red carded, 35 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 34th minute, one of ФК Созополи:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for ФК Созополи. ФК Созополи:s Rashko Idakiev showed great skill when he stopped Vangel Yurukov:s penalty. Ganyo Semerdzhiev who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 38thth minute tested the skills of Rashko Idakiev when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Teodosi Baydanov received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Rashko Idakiev came out and tried to block the shot, but Teodosi Baydanov slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 39th minute. Svetozar Popchev charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Svetozar Popchev the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Svetozar Popchev to strike the kick off in the second half. Rashko Idakiev didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Svetozar Popchev went, in the 51st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Vancho Lazarkov kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. In the 63rd minute Ganyo Semerdzhiev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rashko Idakiev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vancho Lazarkov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francesco Toldo having to interfere. In the 70thth minute of the game Svetozar Popchev who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ФК Созополи's Rashko Idakiev was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 81 minutes into the match, ФК Созополи's goal looked a bit too open when Svetozar Popchev came free, but Rashko Idakiev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Ganyo Semerdzhiev got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rashko Idakiev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Svetozar Popchev in the 84th minute of play. When Velyo Chakov came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the ФК Созополи fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Velyo Chakov couldn't finish the play. ФК Созополи's Vancho Lazarkov got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. THE CLUB walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
