Clemente Crispo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 12th minute Alberto Coimbra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicolas Behe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Evangelista struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Luís Costa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Uzcudun AFC. After 16 minutes of play, Uzcudun AFC's Daniel Evangelista made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luís Costa was left in no man's land by his defense there! Frederico Malta's late challenge caught a Uzcudun AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Frederico Malta helped the player get up and apologised. Frederico Malta hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. If Clemente Crispo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Uzcudun AFC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Américo Serpa 40 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-3. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Américo Serpa to make the kick off. After 73 played minutes Uzcudun AFC got a freekick which was hit by Andres Gartxot. Uzcudun AFC's Andres Gartxot got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alberto Coimbra helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Uzcudun AFC booed when Valverde United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberto Coimbra didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 82nd minute, Aldo Acevedo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 86th match minute, Valverde United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joaquim Gouveia to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Valverde United defense, Aldo Acevedo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luís Costa. The Valverde United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luís Costa should have stopped the shot.
