The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Clemente Crispo during the 7th minute. Maximino Navarro scored 0-1 in the 11th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nicolas Behe, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 15 minutes into the match, Uzcudun AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Efrain Diaz came free, but Nicolas Behe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Clemente Crispo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Uzcudun AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Clemente Crispo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The Uzcudun AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Vélez Juniors were winning 0-4.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Maximino Navarro to make the kick off. Nicolas Behe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximino Navarro, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. 56 minutes into the game, Maximino Navarro recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Nicolas Behe. After 67 minutes, Ladislao Ruisko mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vélez Juniors and the Uzcudun AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 94th match minute, Uzcudun AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eric Formerio to maneuver through the defense.
