The referee ignored YuSuF's protests and gave Demircan Orgen a yellow card for diving instead. 7 minutes into the game, one of YuSuF:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Bras Abascal scored 0-2 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gencalp Erserim, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Orkun Nafi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Egoi Laredo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Javier Bellido fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gencalp Erserim having to interfere. 22 minutes into the game, CF Mendia's Bras Abascal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gencalp Erserim made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bras Abascal in the 25th minute of play forced YuSuF's goalkeeper Gencalp Erserim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gencalp Erserim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Javier Bellido, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Şensoy Energin kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Javier Bellido took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gencalp Erserim. The YuSuF players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. CF Mendia were winning 0-4.

In the 51st minute, Devlet Bardakçıoğlu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Egoi Laredo was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. Gencalp Erserim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bras Abascal, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. In the 58th minute of the match CF Mendia got a corner. YuSuF's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Franco Feal ran over to the corner to take the kick. Franco Feal made a great header on CF Mendia's corner, it was just that YuSuF's Gencalp Erserim managed to reach the ball for a save. YuSuF's Gencalp Erserim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bras Abascal in the 62nd minute of play. The referee ignored CF Mendia's protests and gave Mateo Bencoiechea a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, CF Mendia's Mateo Bencoiechea got a free kick in the 74th minute. Egoi Laredo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Müfit Yumlu in the 75th minute of the match. CF Mendia's Bras Abascal was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 82nd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. In the 85th minute, Bras Abascal left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The CF Mendia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-7. After having played for 93 minutes, Bras Abascal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CF Mendia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bras Abascal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the CF Mendia defense, Cenan Soyselçuk kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Egoi Laredo. The CF Mendia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Egoi Laredo should have stopped the shot. The YuSuF fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. CF Mendia were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
