Illinois Bluewaters's Joey Clemons played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Konstanty Bury in the 20th minute of play. In the 21st minute Grzegorz Pietrowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joey Clemons saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Jacob Faulkner took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Roland Golob to make any attempt to save it. If Jacob Faulkner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wawrzyniec Korytkowski's late challenge caught a Illinois Bluewaters's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wawrzyniec Korytkowski helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Illinois Bluewaters booed when Niecki SA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wawrzyniec Korytkowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 28th match minute, Illinois Bluewaters was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacob Faulkner to maneuver through the defense. When Tommy Cody fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Illinois Bluewaters's protests and gave Tommy Cody a yellow card for diving instead. In the 87th minute, Jacob Faulkner made a precise shot to the right of Roland Golob. Roland Golob was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Illinois Bluewaters fully deserved thier win.
