When Hulk Fenomeno came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hulk Fenomeno couldn't finish the play. Filippo Barbato stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Genko Balevski's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. Omar Duardo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Zaccardi in the 9th minute of play. After some careless play in the XMAS defense, Genko Balevski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Filippo Barbato. The XMAS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Filippo Barbato should have stopped the shot. 20 minutes into the game, Genko Balevski cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Filippo Barbato was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Genko Balevski came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Genko Balevski couldn't finish the play. Omar Duardo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernesto Minichiello, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. After a defensive mix-up in XMAS's zone, Genko Balevski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Filippo Barbato came out of the goal and Genko Balevski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 46 minutes into the match, XMAS's goal looked a bit too open when Genko Balevski came free, but Filippo Barbato reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ennio De Nardis charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ennio De Nardis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ennio De Nardis kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. After the first half CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Genko Balevski stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Hulk Fenomeno ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Filippo Barbato was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. When Edison Brena came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edison Brena couldn't finish the play. After 62 played minutes CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA got a freekick which was hit by Genko Balevski. Filippo Barbato was a little too slow when Genko Balevski got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 64th minute. The score was now 0-6. In the 68th minute of the match CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA got a corner. XMAS's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Edison Brena ran over to the corner to take the kick. Edison Brena made a great header on CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's corner, it was just that XMAS's Filippo Barbato managed to reach the ball for a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Genko Balevski managed to get in a good position for a shot. CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's supporters rose to their feet, but Genko Balevski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Filippo Barbato breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 73 minutes in the game, Ernesto Minichiello dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Hulk Fenomeno might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Filippo Barbato. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hulk Fenomeno ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 75 minutes, Genko Balevski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Genko Balevski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's Genko Balevski in the 78th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Filippo Barbato was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for XMAS through an amazing save. In the 79th minute of the match CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA got a corner. XMAS's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Edison Brena ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's corner Edison Brena fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Filippo Barbato quite easily take care of the ball. CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's Genko Balevski was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 87th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. After some careless play in the XMAS defense, Hulk Fenomeno kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Filippo Barbato. The XMAS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Filippo Barbato should have stopped the shot. In the 94th minute, Genko Balevski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the final whistle sounded CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than XMAS.
