Spectators: 167 (Terracing: 126, Seating: 38, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Xantalen Ovejas started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute Luís Cubilla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fortunato Canal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luís Cubilla took the ball and in the 3 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fortunato Canal. Fortunato Canal dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The supporters of LA LUZ F.C. booed when Linterna verde was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lorenzo Vea didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Laureano Orti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Andrés Torres during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Xantalen Ovejas had several of the LA LUZ F.C.'s defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 15 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Luís Mejía as he didn't even see the shot coming. 19 minutes into the match, LA LUZ F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Xantalen Ovejas came free, but Luís Mejía reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20th match minute, LA LUZ F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Laureano Orti to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arturo Mogel during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Arturo Mogel kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Xantalen Ovejas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Luís Mejía made a huge save. 31 minutes into the match, LA LUZ F.C.'s goalkeeper Luís Mejía had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Medardo Argudo. José Luis Pintos Saldanha was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 33 minutes into the match. After 32 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for LA LUZ F.C.! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Raimundo Honesto in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fortunato Canal saved Linterna verde from getting behind. Julio-César Montero Castillo hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Cubilla in the 40th minute of play forced Linterna verde's goalkeeper Fortunato Canal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 45th match minute, LA LUZ F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafael Prejun to maneuver through the defense. Fortunato Canal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Cubilla in the 47th minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luís Cubilla was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Linterna verde's goalkeeper Fortunato Canal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Raimundo Honesto. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eate Urguia during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Linterna verde's Eate Urguia got a free kick in the 58th minute. Fortunato Canal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Cubilla, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Paulo-Eduardo Dybala hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Cubilla in the 64th minute of play forced Linterna verde's goalkeeper Fortunato Canal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fortunato Canal was a little too slow when Luís Cubilla got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 68th minute. The score was now 1-2. 72 minutes into the game, Linterna verde's Eate Urguia nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luís Mejía made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Luís Mejía stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alejandro Saiz's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. If Luís Cubilla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Linterna verde getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Lorenzo Vea hit a great ball. In the 86th minute, Luís Cubilla got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Neto Alcaraz hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Fortunato Canal didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Raimundo Honesto went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. Neto Alcaraz's late challenge caught a LA LUZ F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Neto Alcaraz helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Linterna verde's Neto Alcaraz got a free kick in the 94th minute. Linterna verde's Fortunato Canal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Linterna verde from getting a goal against them. LA LUZ F.C.'s players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
