In the 18th minute Ted Borker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Humberto Martelo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Humberto Martelo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ted Borker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 21 minutes into the match, Ted Borker had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Humberto Martelo. ............'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ted Borker was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. The Ágætis Byrjun fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. After 28 played minutes, Ágætis Byrjun's Frits Steen shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Humberto Martelo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ágætis Byrjun reached it. After 30 played minutes ............ got a freekick which was hit by Diego Balmaceda. Diego Balmaceda kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in ............'s zone, Laurens Erenstein stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Humberto Martelo came out of the goal and Laurens Erenstein tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Xinto Figueira to strike the kick off in the second half. If Renán Ester had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. Frits Steen made in the 66th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by ............'s Roman Samaniego. Laurens Erenstein took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Humberto Martelo. Ágætis Byrjun's Fokke Reitsma quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Bone Barral, made in the 79th minute of the game. A hard shot 80 in the game by Ted Borker from a close distance when the talented Humberto Martelo managed to make a qualified save. ............'s players were relieved. After 82 played minutes Ágætis Byrjun got a freekick which was hit by Fokke Reitsma. Ted Borker's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Humberto Martelo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. After 87 minutes of play, Ágætis Byrjun's Laurens Erenstein made it 0-7 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Humberto Martelo was left in no man's land by his defense there! 93 minutes into the game, Ted Borker cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-8. Humberto Martelo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the final whistle sounded Ágætis Byrjun left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than .............
