A collision led to Showtime FC getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Melquiades Sanduru hit a great ball. Laércio Damiãos short, quick shot in the 13thth minute got Leonides Lugo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gilvan Pombal got free with Leonides Lugo in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernandão Loyola in the 18th minute of play forced Showtime FC's goalkeeper Leonides Lugo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leonides Lugo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Válbson Marques in the 19th minute of play. Melquiades Sanduru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bebeto de Salles having to interfere. In the 24th minute, Melquiades Sanduru got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 27 minutes in the game, Fernandão Loyola fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Leonides Lugo having to interfere. 28 minutes into the match, Showtime FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gilvan Pombal came free, but Leonides Lugo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Showtime FC's Leonides Lugo got control of the ball when Laércio Damião tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 34 minutes of play, União Verde FC's Laércio Damião made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Leonides Lugo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Fernandão Loyola recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilvan Pombal in the 40th minute of play forced Showtime FC's goalkeeper Leonides Lugo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Fernandão Loyola's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leonides Lugo was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. Gilvan Pombal was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 44th minute. União Verde FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Leonides Lugo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernandão Loyola, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Laércio Damião made a kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Fernandão Loyola had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leonides Lugo. Showtime FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fernandão Loyola was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Leonides Lugo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilvan Pombal, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Mauricio Cebrian kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Leonides Lugo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Válbson Marques in the 63rd minute of the match. Leonides Lugo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilvan Pombal in the 68th minute of play. The referee showed Adalberto Albuquerque the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Adalberto Albuquerque kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Leonides Lugo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gilvan Pombal went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. After 96 played minutes União Verde FC got a freekick which was hit by Válbson Marques. União Verde FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
