In the 10th minute, Houston Fire F.C.'s 曾诚枫 ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ismael Pereira. Ismael Pereira yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Lawrence Esquivel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Ismael Pereira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Lawrence Esquivel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 19 played minutes Houston Fire F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Lawrence Esquivel. Guilherme Olivieri charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Houston Fire F.C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Blake Rice in the 46th minute. The corner ended in Blake Rice almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Ismael Pereira did a great save. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when 曾诚枫 stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Nova Iguaçu MZFC defense, 曾诚枫 kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ismael Pereira. The Nova Iguaçu MZFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ismael Pereira should have stopped the shot. Ismael Pereira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of 曾诚枫's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. Ismael Pereira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 曾诚枫 in the 57th minute of the match. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Ismael Pereira tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Ismael Pereira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from John McCain in the 67th minute of play. 69 minutes into the match, Lawrence Esquivel notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Ismael Pereira. Ismael Pereira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. John McCain made in the 76th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Wilson Vidal. Ismael Pereira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lawrence Esquivel's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. Ismael Pereira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guilherme Olivieri in the 79th minute of the match. Ismael Pereira came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Houston Fire F.C.'s Guilherme Olivieri. But to his dismay, Guilherme Olivieri quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. In the 93rd minute 曾诚枫 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ismael Pereira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Houston Fire F.C. walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
