The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 8 played minutes, el Tambero F.C's Freddy Abel shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Aureliano Maore came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in el Tambero F.C reached it. Aureliano Maore came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by el Tambero F.C's Emanuel Hondo. But to his dismay, Emanuel Hondo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. The supporters of el Tambero F.C booed when Club Deportivo Español was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baldomero Tonete didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aureliano Maore came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by el Tambero F.C's Freddy Abel. But to his dismay, Freddy Abel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Wilfredo Ursino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Aureliano Maore tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 24th minute Tadeo Oxarra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evelio Hegoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 27th minute, Edelmiro Savier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Club Deportivo Español getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Edelmiro Savier hit a great ball. 33 minutes into the match, Club Deportivo Español's goal looked a bit too open when Siro Costante came free, but Aureliano Maore reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 34 minutes into the match, Club Deportivo Español's goal looked a bit too open when Emanuel Hondo came free, but Aureliano Maore reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Siro Costante in the 39th minute of play forced Club Deportivo Español's goalkeeper Aureliano Maore to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Club Deportivo Español's Generoso Dolfo got a free kick in the 40th minute. In the 42nd match minute, Club Deportivo Español was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edelmiro Savier to maneuver through the defense. In the 45th match minute, el Tambero F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Siro Costante to maneuver through the defense. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Freddy Abel was the one to do the kick off. After 51 played minutes el Tambero F.C got a freekick which was hit by Andres Eutor. With 53 minutes on the clock, Siro Costante commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 54th minute, Siro Costante hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tadeo Oxarra hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. 64 minutes into the match, Club Deportivo Español's goalkeeper Aureliano Maore had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Freddy Abel. After a rather tough play, Club Deportivo Español's Baldomero Tonete got a free kick in the 66th minute. Edelmiro Savier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Evelio Hegoi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edelmiro Savier, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. In the 75th minute, Tadeo Oxarra ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Evelio Hegoi was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. If Edelmiro Savier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 84 in the game by Freddy Abel from a close distance when the talented Aureliano Maore managed to make a qualified save. Club Deportivo Español's players were relieved. After some careless play in the Club Deportivo Español defense, Freddy Abel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aureliano Maore. The Club Deportivo Español fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aureliano Maore should have stopped the shot.
