The audience held their breath when Lúcio da Cunha in the 4th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Dimosthenis Zaloumi's left hand side. A nice corner shot did that Jacinto Valle got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Dimosthenis Zaloumi quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 14 minutes into the match, Hamílton Paiva notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of APOELHELLAS's Dimosthenis Zaloumi. Dimosthenis Zaloumi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Dimosthenis Zaloumi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hamílton Paiva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lúcio da Cunha blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dimosthenis Zaloumi having to make a save. After some careless play in the APOELHELLAS defense, Lúcio da Cunha kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dimosthenis Zaloumi. The APOELHELLAS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dimosthenis Zaloumi should have stopped the shot. Iphiklos Koumanidis charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Iphiklos Koumanidis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to APOELHELLAS getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Iphiklos Koumanidis hit a great ball. Lúcio da Cunha scored 0-6 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dimosthenis Zaloumi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-6 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pedro Paes to make the kick off. Dimosthenis Zaloumi made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Pedro Paes sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, APOELHELLAS's Dimosthenis Zaloumi got control of the ball when Pedro Paes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dimosthenis Zaloumi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hamílton Paiva in the 55th minute of play. Walery Kornasiewicz hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. The Rua Ferreira Viana F.C. fans' excitement grew in the 60th match minute when Rua Ferreira Viana F.C.'s Hamílton Paiva looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-7 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 63rd minute, Inocencio Dei hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 67 minutes of play, Rua Ferreira Viana F.C.'s Hamílton Paiva made it 0-8 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Hamílton Paiva managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rua Ferreira Viana F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Hamílton Paiva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dimosthenis Zaloumi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 77th minute, Lúcio da Cunha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Rua Ferreira Viana F.C. defense, Iphikles Papadakos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rodolfo de Amaral. The Rua Ferreira Viana F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rodolfo de Amaral should have stopped the shot. In the 85th minute, Manos Andreoulakis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. APOELHELLAS's Dimosthenis Zaloumi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hamílton Paiva in the 87th minute of play. Akhilleus Markopoulos hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. In the 90th minute of the match, Pedro Paes got a very nice opportunity to score, but Dimosthenis Zaloumi was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 92 minutes into the match, APOELHELLAS's goal looked a bit too open when Hamílton Paiva came free, but Dimosthenis Zaloumi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 93 minutes, Iphikles Papadakos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the APOELHELLAS and the Rua Ferreira Viana F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to APOELHELLAS getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Iphikles Papadakos hit a great ball. Dimosthenis Zaloumi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pedro Paes in the 94th minute. The APOELHELLAS fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Rua Ferreira Viana F.C. were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
