After 5 minutes of play, Söderhall's Wictor Lidberg made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Håkan Botvidsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! 10 minutes into the match, IFK Kik's goal looked a bit too open when Pål Lindman came free, but Håkan Botvidsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pål Lindman who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 11thth minute tested the skills of Håkan Botvidsson when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Pål Lindman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brian Lindström hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Söderhall's Svante Olsson got a free kick in the 18th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Patrik Myr in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alexander Mikaelsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Patrik Myr got free in front of the goal in the 20th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Alexander Mikaelsson was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 24th minute Vilhelm Martinsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexander Mikaelsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 24 played minutes Söderhall got a freekick which was hit by Fredric Ahlkvist. 25 minutes into the game, one of Söderhall:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Patrik Myr sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fredric Ahlkvist kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Alexander Mikaelsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patrik Myr in the 43rd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Pål Lindman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Håkan Botvidsson was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. Fredrik Lund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexander Mikaelsson having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Håkan Botvidsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pål Lindman in the 51st minute of play. Fredric Lundström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Alexander Mikaelsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 59 minutes into the match, Fredrik Lund dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Alexander Mikaelsson, 2-2. Alexander Mikaelsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fredrik Lund, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Fredric Ahlkvist's late challenge caught a IFK Kik's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fredric Ahlkvist helped the player get up and apologised. Fredrik Lund kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. When Svante Olsson came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Söderhall fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Svante Olsson couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pål Lindman in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Håkan Botvidsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ragnar Browald kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Patrik Myr might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alexander Mikaelsson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Patrik Myr ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Söderhall's Knut Håning got a free kick in the 83rd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pål Lindman in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Håkan Botvidsson saved IFK Kik from getting behind. The Söderhall supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching IFK Kik's performance. The match ended with a win for IFK Kik.
