When Normunds Kokars came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the FC Melluži fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Normunds Kokars couldn't finish the play. Pål Lindman received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Boriss Kopštāls came out and tried to block the shot, but Pål Lindman slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 7th minute. In the 12th minute, Svante Olsson reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Boriss Kopštāls. The goal made the score 2-0. After 16 minutes, Pål Lindman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Söderhall and the FC Melluži players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of FC Melluži booed when Söderhall was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pål Lindman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alexander Mikaelsson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Aivars Rupainis went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Jorens Kingrichard took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alexander Mikaelsson. Alexander Mikaelsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. In the 29th match minute, FC Melluži was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rauls Ladusāns to maneuver through the defense. Valentin Fanström lost his temper 34 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 35th match minute, Söderhall was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valentin Fanström to maneuver through the defense. Normunds Kokars was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 36th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After 38 minutes of play, FC Melluži's Aivars Rupainis made it 3-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alexander Mikaelsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jorens Kingrichard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aivars Rupainis in the 44th minute of play forced Söderhall's goalkeeper Alexander Mikaelsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

In the 60th minute, Jorens Kingrichard got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pål Lindman kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Alexander Mikaelsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aivars Rupainis in the 62nd minute. 64 minutes into the match, Jorens Kingrichard had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alexander Mikaelsson. Söderhall's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jorens Kingrichard was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-4. After a rather tough play, FC Melluži's Vilhelms Kamenis got a free kick in the 68th minute. Svante Olsson, 69 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Dainis Laktiņš recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Dainis Laktiņš had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jorens Kingrichard might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alexander Mikaelsson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jorens Kingrichard ran back to his position shaking his head. Dainis Laktiņš received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Alexander Mikaelsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alexander Mikaelsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aivars Rupainis in the 77th minute of play. Rauls Ladusāns hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Boriss Kopštāls took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pål Lindman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jorens Kingrichard charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jorens Kingrichard the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jorens Kingrichard kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. When Valdis Zadraks came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the FC Melluži fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valdis Zadraks couldn't finish the play. Alexander Mikaelsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aivars Rupainis in the 86th minute of play. Aivars Rupainis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Knut Håning fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Boriss Kopštāls having to interfere.
