In the 12th match minute, Gotham City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anton Magnusson to maneuver through the defense. In the 16thth minute of the game Davide Di Tommaso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gotham City's Jörn Bergkvist was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Davide Di Tommaso in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jörn Bergkvist saved Gotham City from getting behind. In the 18th minute Anthony Costacurta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jörn Bergkvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 19 minutes, Ettore Bianco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ꉓꍏꋪꉣꂦꀸꋪꂦꂵꂦ and the Gotham City players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ettore Bianco hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. In the 20thth minute of the game Davide Di Tommaso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gotham City's Jörn Bergkvist was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Gotham City booed when ꉓꍏꋪꉣꂦꀸꋪꂦꂵꂦ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfonso Furia didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the ꉓꍏꋪꉣꂦꀸꋪꂦꂵꂦ defense, Anton Magnusson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fabiano Caneva. The ꉓꍏꋪꉣꂦꀸꋪꂦꂵꂦ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fabiano Caneva should have stopped the shot. Jörn Bergkvist stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Anthony Costacurta's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. In the 34th minute Damiano Antonangeli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jörn Bergkvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Olle Dusett fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gotham City's protests and gave Olle Dusett a yellow card for diving instead. 36 minutes into the match, Gotham City's goal looked a bit too open when Anthony Costacurta came free, but Jörn Bergkvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jörn Bergkvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anthony Costacurta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jörn Bergkvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cesare Palma, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. When the match had gone on for 41 minutes, Davide Di Tommaso put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Jörn Bergkvist. Claes Abrahamsson hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. After 44 played minutes, ꉓꍏꋪꉣꂦꀸꋪꂦꂵꂦ's Alfonso Furia shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jörn Bergkvist came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in ꉓꍏꋪꉣꂦꀸꋪꂦꂵꂦ reached it. Jörn Bergkvist didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Anthony Costacurta went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. After the first half ꉓꍏꋪꉣꂦꀸꋪꂦꂵꂦ were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
Davide Di Tommaso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 50th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 53 played minutes ꉓꍏꋪꉣꂦꀸꋪꂦꂵꂦ got a freekick which was hit by Damiano Antonangeli. Fabiano Caneva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Björn Fogel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Anthony Costacurta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gotham City's defense didn't have a chance, in the 60th minute, when Damiano Antonangeli scored to the left of an out of position Jörn Bergkvist, making the score, 1-3. ꉓꍏꋪꉣꂦꀸꋪꂦꂵꂦ's Cesare Palma was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 63rd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. In the 66th minute Björn Fogel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabiano Caneva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 68 minutes into the match, Gotham City's goal looked a bit too open when Damiano Antonangeli came free, but Jörn Bergkvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an all-out effort, ꉓꍏꋪꉣꂦꀸꋪꂦꂵꂦ's Jörn Bergkvist threw himself towards the right post 70 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Anthony Costacurta, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 71 minutes Gotham City's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Alfonso Furia who took care of the corner kick. It was a well-played corner which Damiano Antonangeli managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Davide Di Tommaso scored 1-5 in the 74th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jörn Bergkvist, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of ꉓꍏꋪꉣꂦꀸꋪꂦꂵꂦ booed when Gotham City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Björn Fogel didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot by Ettore Bianco from long distance, 77 minutes into the match, got Jörn Bergkvist's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Jörn Bergkvist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anthony Costacurta in the 79th minute. In the 79th minute, ꉓꍏꋪꉣꂦꀸꋪꂦꂵꂦ's Anthony Costacurta ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jörn Bergkvist. Jörn Bergkvist yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-6. Anthony Costacurta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Jörn Bergkvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 84th minute, Claes Abrahamsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 90th minute, Charlie Svartengren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Davide Di Tommaso who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 94thth minute tested the skills of Jörn Bergkvist when he managed to save the team from getting behind. ꉓꍏꋪꉣꂦꀸꋪꂦꂵꂦ's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
